At NYC you'll learn that there is no division between what you do in life and God. That means that while God continually blesses you the Lord can use you to bless others continuously! The time has finally come for you to choose your own NYC. Click on a track below for a brief description of that track. Remember, whatever you choose can be a part of God's loving plan for the world. There's something for everyone!
The Tracks are hands-on, interactive and at various locations that will make your Track an empowering and encouraging experience. In the following months, keep checking your email and come back to this page for updated information including what you may need to bring and appropriate clothing for participation in your Track. The Tracks will be a great place for experience and community and what you bring to it can make all the difference. So please prayerfully consider what track God would lead you to select.
Because regional quiz teams have not yet been determined, all teens should sign up for one of the other Tracks. Teens that make a regional quiz team will automatically be placed into the NYC Quizzing Track at a later date.

Discovering Your Call to Ministry
Are you called to ministry? Can you know for sure? What does the shape of ministry look like? Do all ministers need to be either pastors or
missionaries, or are there other paths as well? What does ministry preparation look like? Is ministry preparation something to do only at a university, or something
to do in other ways as well? If you are interested in exploring answers to questions like these, then please join us for an informative, practical and challenging
journey as we seek to follow God’s call wherever it may lead. For this Track you will receive in the mail two books to read prior to attending NYC, Here I Am: Now What
on Earth Should I Be Doing? by Quentin Schultze and Call Waiting: Connect with God’s Plan for Your Future, by Doug Sample.

Social Justice: Think Globally, Act Locally
The pursuit of justice and reconciliation is at the heart of our Christian heritage, the foundation of our church and the life of holiness. We pursue justice when we
let the oppressed go free, share our food with the hungry, bring the homeless poor into our homes, clothe the naked and satisfy the needs of the afflicted (Isaiah 58).
Living a Christian life involves being able to name injustice and to confront the powers that cause injustice. More importantly, living a Christian life involves being
the kind of people that live God’s justice and reconciliation practically in the world. In the Social Justice Track we will look deep into the abyss of global poverty
and oppression with a strong emphasis on how this relates to life in the United States. We will then also spend significant time exploring hopeful ways God’s people
are being the Body of Christ in the context of this poverty and oppression. Our goal is to nurture a prophetic imagination in all who attend.

Painting the Schools
Jesus teaches about serving others in Scripture. This ‘Faith in Action’ project allows you to put into practice the teaching of Jesus. Our mission should you choose
to join: is to impact the community schools and neighborhoods in the St. Louis area with a can of paint, a brush and the love of Jesus. The school district does not
have the funds or work force to adequately refurbish the buildings during the summer months. NYC is going to make a difference! You could be a part of a group that
will go into a school and give it the face lift that it needs to prepare for the start of a new school year. Your participation will help us impact the St. Louis
community with the love of Christ. We will also be working with the community services to paint a few of the homes in the area that need a new coat of paint. The
neighborhood will see the difference and see the life of Christ through your participation and hard work. Return to top of page

NYC Quizzing
Expect the most, receive the best! This does not adequately describe a USA/Canada Teen Bible Quizzing National Tournament. Imagine 80+ teens who may have memorized
over 1000 verses of the Bible, who have conditioned themselves to jump from a chair, ready to answer a question about those verses when they have not even heard 3
words of the question and ALL in 30 short, sometimes agonizing seconds. Join us on Saturday, as 16 teams from across the USA vie for the National Championship in two
divisions.

Caring for Gods Earth
The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it! He created all things to be interdependent upon one another, and gave us the responsibility to be Earth’s caretakers.
But we have largely neglected this responsibility, and it is time for Christians to step up and take action. God wants to raise up a new generation of youth that
understand His heart for the entire world. And He is calling all of us, not just those with an interest in nature, to join in and make a difference as ambassadors for
His creation. Join us in Forest Park, the 2nd largest urban park in the US, to learn more about our relationships with creation, the perils the planet faces, and how
to be a responsible caretaker of the earth at home, at school, and in the community.

Creative Writing: Written Imagination
This track will endeavor to show the participants how writing, thinking, imagining and creating can synthesize with their spiritual path and process, building God’s
kingdom within the writer and out of the writing. And we will laugh. Maybe even cry. Because it’s hard to imagine spending summer afternoons without having a great |
deal of fun, we will write from many different angles and approaches, hundreds of prompts and starters, through a dozen kinds of writing and multiple ways of
presentation. We will write indoors and outdoors, alone and together, in session and out. We will write to make readers laugh, think, ponder and wonder.
