Who can attend Nazarene Youth
Conference 2007?
Anyone who is graduating in 2007-2011. That
means those in 8-12th grade this year. NYC ’07 –
Water Fire Wind - is a “once-in-a-lifetime”
event. For information on how parents can attend, please see below.
Where and when is it?
Nazarene Youth Conference 2007 is in St. Louis
(July 10-15) and will be held at America’s Center
and the Edward Jones Dome. This is a perfect facility for
a conference such as ours – everything is under one
roof, over a million square feet of space!
Why should my student(s) go?
This week WILL be a highlight of their life. An
environment will be created at NYC '07 - Water Fire Wind - that
encourages spiritual growth, intellectual deepening and authentic
relationships. They will meet new friends from all over Canada
and the United States; worship with more intensity than ever
before; and experience intimate encounters with God.
Who will be there?
Thousands of high school students and youth
workers from Canada and the United States.
How much does it cost?
The registration cost for Nazarene Youth Conference
2007 is only $450.00. That includes the cost of the entire
ministry program and all meals while you’re at the
conference (Meals covered include breakfast at your hotel,
lunch and dinner at the conference center).
Important note: An additional cost of travel,
lodging and sponsor cost will be budgeted through your District
NYI. Each District’s cost is different, based on what
lodging and transportation methods your district leadership
chooses and how many sponsors attend. The payment schedule
for your District’s travel, lodging and other expenses
will be available through your NYC District Coordinator
fall 2005.
What do students have to
do to qualify?
Simply register. There are no interviews or
pre-qualifications required. We believe that every high
school student should attend NYC ’07!
How do students register?
Registration is now closed for NYC. If your student
has registered be sure to sign up for your track between February 15
and March 15. For more info click here.
What will students do at
NYC '07?
Wow, now that’s a loaded question! It’s
a loaded question because your week will be filled with
new friends, awesome recreation, amazing worship, world
class speakers, and workshops on living the Christian life,
exhibits that could impact your life. In addition, we will
love others in Jesus’ name – we’re participating
in our very own “Feeding of the Five Thousand”
in St. Louis. We’ll feed 5000 families for a week
in one day!
All in all, this will be one incredible week that you will
never forget.
How do students get there
and where will they stay?
The District NYI Council will determine how
you will travel to St. Louis (planes, trains and busses,
or any combination thereof!) and the hotel your group will
stay in. Their choices are based on several factors to best
suit your entire group and cost. Your District NYC leadership
will communicate the district costs and that payment schedule
to you (which will include hotel and manner of travel). If you
need to contact your NYC Coordinator you can access their
info here.
Who are the speakers
and what will the music be like?
How can I attend?
There will be day passes available for purchase to eligible parents, adults and children (of accompanying adults only). In order to be eligible
to purchase a day-pass at NYC, adults must have a background check completed through their district NYI council. A copy of this background check
must be on file at the NYI office by May 15, 2007. For security reasons, if an adult shows up to NYC and does not have a background check on file
we will NOT be able to allow them into any part of NYC. [Special concessions have been made for parents of quizzers who qualify for their regional
quiz team after May 1. For more information please contact your district quiz director.]
(Background checks will NOT be available on sight.)
A day pass will allow persons to observe the Bible Quizzing track in the afternoons and into the late night One Audience performances at the
Roberts Orpheum Theater. It does not include any lodging, meals, transportation or access to any other parts of this event including General Sessions.
The cost of a day pass is $5/person/day with a maximum of $20/family.
